Shanna Nicole Art

Through my art, I aim to shed light on the experiences of women—whether it’s stress, love, body image, or relationships. I seek to capture the raw emotions we experience from a woman’s point of view. As a 23-year-old Black, queer woman, I’ve felt both love and hate in their extremes. I want to share my story, along with the stories of other women, stories many of us have lived. From a young age, I’ve often felt hopeless in the face of the constant struggles we endure. But through painting, I find a sense of control, telling our stories with each piece. I hope at least one of my works resonates with you.
